Congratulations  Aeja! This woman is a hard worker. Since starting CF, she has shown excellence and progress. Put any challenges in front of her and she will try it with no hesitation. It is always a treat to have this young athlete in the box. She is Always smiling before, during and after the workouts!! Maybe we should make the workouts a little harder for miss Aeja 😉

 

We are all truly proud of you. Keep it up. We can’t wait to see you grow in this sport.

2. How old are you? 27

 

3. Where did you grow up? Tucson

 

4. When did you become a member at Crossfit East Tucson?

I talked with Aubry and Adrian before starting in May 2016, then again in June 2017.

 

5. What type of program or exercise/s were you doing before you tried Crossfit?

I was doing the cycling class, but occasionally I did another class. But before that I grew up playing soccer and basketball.

 

6. What is your profession?

Unfortunately, fast food.

 

7. What else do you like to do outside of Crossfit East Tucson? (Hobbies and likes)

Photography, listen to music, going to concerts and other events like soccer games.

 

8. How did you find out about Crossfit East Tucson?
I noticed people doing it and wanted to try.

 

9. When did you first know that Crossfit is right for you?

After the first few classes.

 

10. What is your least favorite WOD or movement and why?
Burpees and overhead squats because I keep getting
bruises and it slows me down so much.

 

11. What is your favorite WOD or movement? Back squats and Deadlifts.

 

12. Brag about yourself. Since you have been in CFET, we have seen your growth as an athlete. Tell us about your journey.

I needed something different than doing the same routine. I knew deep down I wanted to try but wasn’t sure if I should, especially with an injury before starting. Before Crossfit, I played soccer and basketball. Since starting Crossfit, I wouldn’t have thought I would have been able to lift as much as I have.

 

13. Do you know FRAN? If you do, how do you feel about her and what is your time? If you don’t know her, are you excited to meet her because I heard she is pretty amazing?

I have meet Fran with the time of 7:13 modified and I don’t plan on meeting her again anytime soon.

 

14. What or who motivates you during your WODs?

The coaches and those that participate in the class.

 

15. What is that one thing you thought you could never do at CFET but succeeded to get it done?

Be able to lift anything heavy, especially after my previous injury.

16. Tell us something about yourself that not a lot of people know about? The weirder the better. 🙂

 

People are surprised when they find out that I’m Mexican. And don’t ask me to translate, unless its American Sign Language.

17. Do you have any advice for new Crossfitters?

Don’t be intimidated, its you vs you.

18. Who is your favorite Crossfit Athlete? Mat Fraser

 

19. Describe yourself in one word: Competitive

 

20. Which class do you usually take? 4:30pm, but occasionally you’ll see me at the 8:30am class
